IELA Ops Club

....for event logistic professionals

As the person who first conceptualised the Ops Club, I have to say that I am thrilled and delighted by the look and feel of this new network site and I am touched to see your response. Congratulations and huge thanks to Declan for taking the time and trouble to get this fantastic ball rolling again.
The Ops Club is something special, for special people - The People Who Do The Work. That's you.

It's really encouraging to see the responses from all of you and it fills me with hope for the future of our industry to see so much activity, spreading organically, via the modern day "e:quivalent" (did I just invent a new noun??) of word of mouth. The site is barely three days old and already, with no launch or formal announcement, we're seeing activity levels which more than match the peaks of the old Ops Club site. Amazing.

What's more this has happened whilst my colleague Dean Wale, our Ops Club leader at CEVA, is away on vacation. He's in Mauritius at a family wedding and is in for one heck of a surprise when he comes back and sees what's been going on while he's been away.

Like many of you, Dean caught the Ops Club bug at the Winter Seminar in Zurich (2005) and has burned a candle ever since. He even returned to Zurich this year to help with the presentations and I know he'll be chewing me up to join the gig in Bangkok next January. Cue Bastiaan. Cue Tom. Cue Michiel. Cue Daniel. Cue Jurgen. .....

Oh my. Declan, what have you done.................? :)

Enjoy the site.
Enjoy your networking.
Enjoy the business it generates.
Enjoy The Ops Club....

and.........

as ever..........

HAVE FUN
